Vertically and horizontally scalable
The DPA 60 provides power protection from 20 to 60kW (one to three 20kW modules) at 208V with internal batteries in a single cabinet, and the DPA 120 provides power protection from 20 to 120kW (one to six 20kW modules) at 208V in a two-cabinet setup - one cabinet for power modules and the other for external batteries. Horizontal scalability up to five cabinets in parallel is also available to increase the total power to 300kW with the DPA 60 and 600kW with the DPA 120. This scalability means there is no need to over-specify the original configuration; power modules can be easily added in the future as needed.
Designed for maximum flexibility and redundancy at its core
In a data center, power distribution systems have historically been oversized to meet redundancy requirements. The DPA 60 and DPA 120 UPS systems are designed for data centers and other high-availability applications that require redundant configurations (e.g., N + 1, N + 2). Adding redundancy for greater availability is very easy thanks to the advanced scalability within the DPA UPS family. These systems provide customers with a centralized power protection solution, completing and complementing ABB's data center power distribution system.
True parallel architecture
This advanced UPS design provides the highest level of protection in critical applications where the load must be supplied with quality power. Conceptpower DPA systems use decentralized parallel architecture and provide the highest level of reliability and availability with true redundancy between modules.
